About Us
RTEC has been serving Northern Virginia since 1996, focused on practical, science-based tree care and long-term client relationships. We take pride in doing things the right way—protecting properties, improving landscapes, and building a team that shows up, follows through, and keeps getting better. This same practical, accountable mindset shows up in how we run operations every day.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on operations role with real ownership. As Service Dispatcher, you will help drive the daily production flow of the company by coordinating crew schedules, job readiness, logistics, and communication between the office and field.
This is not a passive scheduling role. You will be expected to think ahead, make real-time adjustments, communicate clearly, and keep multiple moving parts aligned throughout the day. The right person for this role is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly and where strong follow-through matters.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and manage daily and weekly crew schedules based on production priorities, crew skillsets, certifications, and availability
- Adjust schedules as needed due to weather, delays, emergencies, equipment needs, or changing priorities
- Maintain forward-looking visibility into the schedule and help keep backlog balanced and production moving steadily
- Confirm jobs are ready before dispatch by verifying access details, equipment needs, permits, notes, and job readiness information
- Coordinate with Production leadership and field teams on special equipment needs, scheduling constraints, and job requirements
- Communicate daily dispatch plans clearly to crews, field leadership, and internal team members
- Relay schedule changes, conflicts, and delays quickly and accurately throughout the day
- Monitor production progress and job completion status, flagging stalled or delayed work for follow-up
- Maintain accurate schedule and status updates in CRM and support smooth workflow between Sales, Field, and Billing
- Help improve routing, crew utilization, and operational efficiency while supporting daily production and revenue goals

- Medical, Dental, & Vision
- PTO and 6 paid holidays
- Simple IRA (after eligibility period)
- Ongoing training and continuing education opportunities
